The Important Reason To Study History

The most important reason for studying history is not that knowledge of history can make us better people or a better society but that it can provide clues to solving the societal problems that we face today.
The issue of most important reason for studying history is complex and controversial. While there is no doubt that knowledge of history can give us clues to solve our societal problems, some people may argue that the most important reason to study history is to make us better people or a better society. Both perspectives are important, but overall the advantages of studying history for a better society outweigh the advantages for the clues to solve societal problems.

I used to hate history at school. Thought it was the most boring subject in the world but years on since I've left I can't get enough of it. There's so much interesting history to learn.
